Sword (ソード / 剣), also known as Super Sword, is a weapon in the Ghosts 'n Goblins series.
Ghouls 'n Ghosts[]
Unlike other weapons, the Sword can't be thrown as a projectile, making it a short range weapon that cuts in an arc in front of Arthur. However, it can cause twice as much damage with one stroke than most weapons.
With the Golden Armor and the Sword, Arthur can use the Thunder Dragon Magic (雷龍の魔法), releasing a thunder dragon upwards to destroy all the enemies in the sky.

Ghosts 'n Goblins: Gold Knights[]
The Sword is Lancelot's default weapon and one of the two weapons that only he can use, the other being the Discus. Unlike the swords used by Arthur in other games, the sword acts like the Lance, being thrown straight forward. Up to three Swords can be present in the screen. Its magic is similar to the Lance, but after a lightning falls on Lancelot, two more will fall near him, one behind and one in front of him.
