Basic Information on the series[]
It's a series of 2d Horror Action/Scrolling-Platformer games that depict a knight that fights levels of monsters and demons to save his princess. The gameplay is described as standard platformer that included fighting with a weapon through levels of enemies. The series is also known for having very difficult level designs. Most of the series was made by Tokuro Fujiwara who is also behind Mega Man, and Resident Evil.

The Series also has a spinoff series with the character Firebrand (Gargoyle like Creature that is part of the Tribe Red Arremer) which was the villain in the Ghosts 'n Goblins series. The Series of games were mostly 2d RPG/Action and included many of the monsters of the Ghosts 'n Goblins series.
